Our work is our home. The land we live on, the land we all rely on for food, is our office. Now, we must remain resilient and work harder than ever to feed a nation staring down a crisis.
So, let’s continue to create hope in a time when we all need something we can count on. Thank you for answering the Call to Farms. Together, we’ve got this.
Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program recognizes young farmers for making bold strides, innovating and taking risks to thrive in agriculture. Each year, progressive farmers from each of the program’s seven regional events are chosen to join this community of forward thinkers. They then compete at the National Recognition Event, where a panel of judges selects two overall winners.
Winners of Canada’s Outstanding Young Farmers Program redefine agriculture every year. Since 1980, they’ve been creating a movement of like-minded farmers and grassroots support for Canadian agriculture with their passion for progress, relentless curiosity and strong work ethic, including the few showcased here.
There are over 9,000 young farmers across the country, so you probably know someone revolutionizing Canadian agriculture. Nominate them for their regional competition today. Nominees must be between the ages of 18 and 39 and derive at least two-thirds of their income from farming.
